Day of Caring
Despite getting soaked by rain showers, the United Way of Broward County triumphed in their “Day of Caring.” 500 volunteers braved weather and mud to paint a mural celebrating the new day care center at the Hispanic Unity of Florida. An annual tradition, the United Way of Broward County chooses a single organization to provide support. Because of their efforts, the Hispanic Unity’s dream of becoming a licensed day care center has now become a reality.
Carter’s Kids stepped up to provide number of essential items to round out the center including tricycles, basketball hoops and others fitness items. Carter’s Kids has a long history of promoting fitness and self-esteem to the nation’s parks and playgrounds.
