Carter Oosterhouse Brings Star Power to Green Festival

Carter Oosterhouse, host of HGTV's "Carter Can" and co-host of the environmentally friendly design show "Red Hot & Green," will appear at the Art of Living Green festival at the A.E. "Bean" Backus Gallery & Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida on Saturday, January 17th. From 2:00 to 4:00 pm, he'll talk about green building practices, give tips for making homes more environmentally friendly, and sign autographs.

"Basically, I'll be showing people that to be more eco-friendly can be fun, can be creative, and doesn't mean you have to make big changes in your lifestyle," Carter told TCPalm.com. He also said he has firsthand knowledge about what works and what doesn't because he uses and promotes "green" materials. "There are so many materials out there that I've used," he said, "that I can tell people not just what they look like but how they are to work with and how durable they are."

Carter also explained that footage from the festival could be featured in an episode of "Carter Can." "I hope people aren't camera-shy," he added.
