Red Hot & Green Receives an EMA Nomination!
The Environmental Media Association nominated Carter’s eco-friendly design show for best Reality Primetime Program. On Red Hot & Green, viewers learn about environmentally friendly gear and sustainable design, plus get tips on cutting costs by using the 3 R's: Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle.
First presented in 1991, the Environmental Media Awards honor writers, producers, directors, actors, musicians and others in the entertainment industry actively expressing their concern for the environment through their work. From serious documentary filmmakers to pop culture producers to socially conscious musicians and paparazzi-prone celebrities, they recognize the huge influence of the entertainment industry, and use it to spread environmental awareness in ways both subtle and strong.
Some of the ways that EMA Award nominees express their concern for the environment are through story lines, environmental practices, or role modeling in their work and/or personal lives. In doing so, they help increase public awareness of environmental issues, inspiring millions to take action.
The 18th annual star-studded EMA awards will be held November 13th.Source: ema-online.org
