Hey Carter. We are trying to help my Aunt with her Kitchen. The other day I was watching a show that used peel and stick tile in their bathroom remodel that looks like glass tile but I believe they said it was some type of gel product. She loves the look of glass tile but it can be pretty pricy so I was wondering if you have seen or heard anything about this product and if so is it something we should consider or stay away from.We did intoduce her to Granite Transformations and that is what she is using for her countertop. I think she will like it.Thanks ly Annette

Hi Carter, Would you be willing to share tips for adding life to the standard 1960's 5x8 Bathroom? Of particular interest is resurfacing the bath tub. How do I find a good company, product, service? What do I ask? Is there a solution that I could do? Sincerely, Zanne

Hi Carter, Thinking of you and wishing you blue sky days just like in Chicago wherever you might be in your travels. Also, I have to say it, I love your much longer hair - very handsome. Carter, I am admiring all your new ventures, your winery in the works in Traverse City (cabernet for me please) wondering if you might share, do your plans for the winery include producing a variety of wines or just specific ones. Also good news for the kids in your hometown enjoying the current Carter's Kids project completed in Greilickville Harbor Park. Carter, curious about this: ? - When building a kitchen table, do you prefer to use a specific type of wood or reclaimed wood. ? - What determines your choice. ? - Can the same wood choice be used in different kitchen table styles - contemporary versus traditional. Just to let you know, I have been busy too selecting the "Carter" images that will make up my Calendar for 2011 - tough decisions to make - so many and all good. Carter, I need

How do you remain so genuine amidst all of the stereotyping and why are you upscaling rather than downscaling? You appear to be most enthused and rewarded when involved with the less fortunate amongst us.

My living room, dining room, and kitchen are all like one big room. There are no walls dividing them. My question is: should I paint them all the same color? Will that make it look bigger? (I guess I should mention that the space is very small)

Hey Carter-just saw your response to ubrokit regarding grout in her bathroom tiles that kept coming out. I had the exact same problem when I added on to my kitchen and extended the tile floor, the grout didnt stay in no matter how many times I tried to regrout it so was anxious in your answer and-of course- you were correct! My carpenter-not the one who tiled- carefully removed all the tiles (as those tiles were discontinued) to find that the subfloor was NOT screwed in causing the floor to move and the grout to keep coming out! Really upset that someone who was recommended did inferior work! Thanks!
